Woods the use of such animals as could be spaired, upon his bond or note &c. |

States that the Marine Hospital building was turned over to the Treasury Dept. on the 23rd inst. That the amount of damage done the building will be about $25,000.00. That he has proposed to conduct the Marine Hospital and continue the services of the Surgeon in Chief and his assistant (whose services are to be recognized by the Bureau until arrangements can be made by the Treasury Department for the care of the Marine Hospital patients. all expenses incurred by the Bureau for subsistence to be deducted from amount due. |

| March 3rd 1869 #35. * | Louisiana  E. Hatch, Genl. Filed. Letter of revocation cancelled. See L.B. March 5th 1869. | New Orleans Feby 27th 1869. Recommends that the revocation of the appointment of Charles Hill Agent, to take effect Jany 31st 1869, be rescinded and that he be retained on temporary duty. States that it has been absolutely necessary to retain Mr. Hill on duty for the collection of claims due the Bureau by planters and that Mr. Hill will be required to remain in that city as a witness in the case of J.W. Coleman and H.E. Barton. late Agents, who will be hired in the U.S. Court for ascending with Govt. funds. |
