Forwards statement of O.A. McGinnis of Moscow, Texas. of his claim for $120. advanced. H.S. Johnson. discharged Bureau Agent. for his salary for June & July 1867, and for $52.50 for subsisting soldiers on duty in the Bureau. With the recommendation that the claim be paid. The facts in each case being as stated. Mr Johnson was dishonorably dismissed the service of the Bureau Jany 9th 1868. A check for $360.00 had been sent him. Nov 22d 1867. which as intercepted and returned by Mr McGinnis. This check covered the claim of Mr. McGinnis for $120.00. The check was canceled and the whole of the money taken up by the Disbursing Officer. Mr McGinnis returned the check with the assurance that his claim would be paid. |
