Dear Mr. Bywaters,

Indeed I do remember our previous correspondence and we are pleased to hear your exhibition was merely postponed and not abandoned.

At the moment we have but one painting in which the subject is wearing a sort of hat. I am attaching a photograph. It is by the French 18th century artist Jean Francois Gille Colson (1755-1803) and is described as follows:

"PETITE FILLE" - Oil: 18-1/4 x 15" -
Bust portrait of a little girl with blond hair partly covered by a transparent white cap. She is seen in profile with her head bent forward on her chest, gazing downward. She wears a lavender dress with a white ruffle around her neck.

Collection: Baron de St. Blanca
Exhibited: "Enfents d'Aubrefois", Bibliotheque de Versailles, 1931, no. 52.

Price $1,800.-
We hope you will find this appropriate for your theme and shall look forward to hearing from you.

Incidentally, we would keep the painting covered by our own insurance.

Yours very sincerely,
Mrs. T.D. Parker.
