Dear Dick:

Thank you very much for your good letter of February 26th.

Per your instructions, I have checked up with Wildenstein to find out about the Degas, "La Repasseuse", but am informed that this picture is in England way out in the country some place and that due to present conditions, there is no possibility of getting it over here, so I think you had best forget all about it.

As for the drawings which you saw here, we will be very glad to lend you these, of course. Kindly let me know at a later date exactly when you want them and also as regards shipping or whether they will be called for, etc.

What about the pistols from the Mackay Collection? You made no mention of them in your letter and I am anxious to know if we cannot follow this up with the idea in mind of an eventual sale. As I told you when you were here, it would be just as easy to ship the three pairs as one pai.

It was nice to see you again, and I only wish that we could get together more frequently. With all good wishes,

As always-
Yours sincerely,

(Robert M. Levy)
