Levy, Jacques Seligmann & Co., 3 East 51st, New York City. Dear Bob: Thank you very much for your letter of November 3rd. I am interested to know just how you happened to be in the Pacific and what the war was doing over there, but we can probably talk that over the next time I get to see you. I am still interested in the pieces of arms and armor we discussed last spring and, quite frankly, as I told you then, it is a long, slow process. I had a nibble at that time but apparently the women who suggested that she knew where she could get the money if we had something specific we wanted to purchase, was as crazy as I have always thought she was. Such are some of the problems of life in a museum. Naturally, I am not giving up on this business. With best wishes, Sincerely yours, Dick RICHARD FOSTER HOWARD, DIRECTOR
