Dear Mr. Howard:

I received your letter of April 26, and as I told you at the time I saw you in Dallas I am only too glad to help you in any way I can.

We have at the moment ten interesting paintings of the English School: two very fine Romneys (25" x 30") on representing a man, the other a lady; two Raeburns, one (25" x 30") portrait of a man, one kitcat portrait of a lady in white; one Lawrence ( 40" x 50"); one Beechey (36" x 28") portrait of a young girl; one Hoppner man which is a kitcat; one Harlow portrait of a lady which is a kitcat; one Opie (30" x 25") "The Match Girl"; one portrait (25" x 30") of a man by Smart.

We will be very glad to let you have four, fixe or six of these paintings according to what you may be able to find elsewhere; by this I mean that we would be very glad to fill gaps which you may have, providing we have the pictures this fall.

Our painting are insured wherever they go in this country, therefore, as far as the number from us is concerned, you will only have packing and shipping to consider. As yet I have had no answer from my letter to Mr. Harding, a copy to which I sent to you. I suppose that you fully realize that most of the dealers insure their paintings the way we do, therefore, if you could secure a group of paintings from dealers you would reduce your insurance bill.
