RICHARD FOSTER HOWARD, DIRECTOR April 25, 1938

Mr. Rene Seligmann,
Jacques Seligmann & Company,
3 East 51st,
New York City.

Dear Mr. Seligmann:

I want to thank you very much for your very prompt reply and kind interest in my English exhibition. With regard to insurance, packing and shipping, we will be able to pay for these items when it is absolutely necessary. If it runs into any considerable sum of course we will simply have to cut down the number of pictures in the exhibition.

I am delighted that you wrote to Mr. Harding as you did because I know that he has some very fine thigns of this sort.

Of course I understand the possibility that you may not have available in the fall the same pictures which you do now but I am perfectly willing to take that chance. My chief aim is to secure things which will be of good enough quality to speak for themselves in opposition to the many bad things which have been deposited in this region.

Thanking you again for your kind cooperation, I am

Very sincerely yours,
Richard Foster Howard
