Dear Dick:

In glancing through the Art Digest this week, I noted that you have recently been made director of the Dallas Museum, and I am delighted with the good news. Not having seen you for almost two years, and for that matter, not having been in Philadelphia for a long time, I had been wondering just what were you doing for yourself these days. I think your new work sounds very thrilling. I shall be interested to hear what the art world is like in Texas. As a matter of fact, I have not been there, so that I have no idea whether the public response to art is as enthusiastic as in other centers. You probably know, by now, that we are loaning one or two fine paintings to you for the Centennial - loans which, of course, were arranged by Mr. Harshe and Mr. Rich.

Do you ever get to New York; if so, I should love to see you again and do let me hear from you. With best regards and again my congratulations, as ever

Yours sincerely,
(Robert M. Levy)
