You will be interested to hear that we have had quite a lengthy visit from Mr. George BOOTH, and I was pleased beyond words to hear of his starting interest for early Sculpture.

I think that he made notes on several of the pieces that he has seen here, and amongst which is a very exceptional wooden carving of St. Paul, French work of the second half of the XIIIth Century, under the old polychromy which I am not sure that you saw because it was not exhibited when you came. I am certain that this awakening interest is already the result of your presence in Detroit and of your influence.
