Dr. W. R. Valentiner
In den Zelten 19
Berlin

My dear Dr. Valentiner,-

Upon my return here a few days ago, I found your most kind lines, for which I thank you very much.

You will excuse my sending you these typewritten lines, but I am very busy and do not want to delay any longer sending you my expression of appreciation for your thought. Your words of sympathy have touched me greatly, and it is one more proof of the greatness of my dear Father, whose passing away is unanimously regretted by all those who knew him well enough to really understand him.

It seems needless for me to tell you that I am of course carrying on the business that he founded, and hope that I will be able to count upon those who were favorably inclined towards him, and I permit myself to include you amongst the latter.

I will probable remain here until early in February, and it would be a great pleasure for me if I could see you. Had I been able to, I would have gone to Berlin; fortunately conditions are improving, and soon after my return in Paris, I will take that so long deferred trip.

Thanking you again, pray believe me,

Yours very sincerely,
