Dear Mrs. Weibel,

First of all, a happy New Year, which I hope you have started in the best of health. I had been away for a short time to get a breath of fresh air in the mountains and only returned to New York a few days ago.

On December 26th I wrote you in regard to a preface for a brochure of our beautiful set of rose Du Barry tapestries and I wonder whether you ever received the letter and the details. Would you kindly be good enough to drop me a few lines in this matter and could you also please tell me about when I can count on your article, as I have all the other matters ready for printing, so I can make the necessary dispositions, as I naturally want to have the brochure ready for the exhibition in Detroit.

I furthermore should like to know when you want to have the tapestries and if you still want to have the tapestry portrait by Jans, representing Mlle Demerais.

Referring to your letter of December 19th, regarding the Achilles tapestries after cartoons by Rubens, I have not as yet received any news of them - whether they have already been shipped or not.

I hope these lines will find you in the best of health and looking forward to hearing from you soon, I remain with all my kindest regards,

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. Adele Weibel,
Detroit Institute of Art,
Detroit, Michigan.
