Dear Mr. Burroughs:

I do wish to tell you again how sorry I was yesterday afternoon, not to be able to stay a little bit longer in your company. I just succeeded in making the 5:20 train to New York and I hope that you will be so kind as to excuse my rushing the way I did. It would have been a great pleasure, indeed, to have had a little chat with you, having not had this opportunity for so long.

With my congratulations on your beautiful museum,

Believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
