Dear Mr. Seligmann:

I have received your kind letter regarding the Holbein, -for which the payment, by the way, will be sent to you within the next few days.*)

I do not know whether you have seen the article which I wrote on it in the Bulletin, and there were at the same time several articles in the different papers here about it -- in the News, the Free Press, and the Detroit Saturday Night. I should be glad to have another article on it in Art in America, and I wonder if you would be so kind as to write to Professor Ganz to do it if he is willing. It would not be difficult for him to write, as we already have the brochure which you gave me; but possibly he might change it a little bit and perhaps it might be well to add illustrations of the different drawings and the painting in Windsor Castle.

I will be glad to speak to Mr. Widener about the Cassone when I have a chance to see him. However, he has so limited a space that I do not know whether he could place it. It might be well if you would send me another photograph, as I think you returned the one you sent me, with my endorsement.

I wonder if you would do me a favor and reserve for me an outside cabin with two beds, for Mrs. Valentiner and myself, on the „Paris” leaving February 5. The price should not exceed $600, and would possibly be considerably less. As I do not doubt you know the French Line very well, perhaps they would give you a good cabin for a reasonable price for me. I am sorry to bother you with this so much.
