December 22nd,1933.

My dear Mr. Richardson:

My belated answer is due to the fact that I was hoping to give you sone definite word in reply to your request contained in your letter of December 14th., re. having our Cezanne water-colors for your February exhibition.

I am sorry to say that due to several plans which we are working on just now, I am unable to give you yet a definite answer. I would like you to know, however, that a great many of the water-colors which we exhibited were lent to us by European and American collectors to whom we had to deliver them before the end of the year.

We own seven of the water-colors - those which were the most important ones in the exhibition.

Yours sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
