Dear Mrs. Weibel,

I am in receipt of your telegram of December 13th, as well as of your letter of February 11th, for both of which I thank you very much.

It really was too bad to have missed you here in New York, but I do hope the next time you come we have betterluck. I should have liked so much to talk to you in person to explain to you an unfortunate incident regarding the Gobelin portrait by Jans, which I was obliged to return to Paris on request of Mr. Seligmann, as I believe the tapestry portrait has been meanwhile sold. It is a pity, but I hope you will understand the situation.

Regarding the rose Du Barry tapestries, I am mailing you with this under separate cover a detailed description and photographs, which I hope will reach you in time for the necessary publicity and catalog. The pamphlet, which we are bringing out and in which the tapestries will be reproduced in color, will not be ready before the end of this month, in only a very limited number and I will mail you then a few samples of them upon receipt.

I am leaving for Florida on Monday night and should you have any further requests regarding the exhibition, would you kindly be good enough and communicate with our Mr. Werner Jucker, who is informed in this matter.

I am delighted to read of your efforts regarding the publicity in the Free Press and the radio talk on Sunday afternoon.

I am also enclosing a photograph of our marvelous Savonnerie 47E7 screen, upon your request. If there is anything else in which I can be of any assistance or service to you, I shall be only too delighted if you will let me know.

I shall return to New York the end of this month or the first days in March and contemplate coming out to Detroit then for a few days, when I hope to see you in the very best of health. Meanwhile, I am with all my very best wishes and kindest regards, as ever

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. A. C. Weibel,
