Secretary to Dr. W.R. Valentiner,
Detroit Institute of Arts,
Detroit, Michigan.

Dear Madame:

It was so kind of you to make it possible for me to go through the museum last Monday morning, though it was closed, and I am just sending you these few lines to thank you for your kind attention.

I intended seeing you again before leaving, to express my appreciation, but when I was through I was so pressed for time before my next appointment, that I thought you would understand and excuse me.

With renewed thanks, I am,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
