My dear Mr. Richardson:

Just a line to tell you that I am sailing for Europe in two days and that I am sorry not to have had the pleasure of seeing you all winter. As you know, I did not go to Detroit, having been tied up here with all sorts of matters.

I just had lunch with Dr. Frankfurter who tells me you are coming here shortly, I presume for the Renoir show. Don't fail to look especially at the marvelous "Le Bal à Bougival" which the firm just sold to the Boston Museum.

I very much regret that I shall have sailed before you get here, but do give my kindest regards to your charming wife and drop me a line to let me know what has happened of interest in Detroit and what our mutual friends, the great Detroit collectors have bought in the last few months.

With kindest regards,

Please believe me

Yours sincerely,

(René Seligmann)
