Dear Mr. Seligman:

As you know our exhibition, "French Taste in the 18th Century", closed last week, and proved to be quite a great success. The snuff box which you so kindly lent us was among the most delightful objects which we had in the exhibition, and we were delighted to have it. Now that the exhibition has closed, we are returning the piece with as much care and diligence as possible. We hope that you will receive it within a few days, and that it will arrive safely.

And again, please accept our very sincere thanks for your cooperation. It was nice of you to help us. With cordial regards, I am

Very sincerely yours,
