March 16th, 1956

Dear Mr. Grigaut:

From your kind letter of March 14th, I am glad to read that you would like to include the snuff-box in your exhibition.

In view of its smallness and value, You will probably agree with me that it would be better were we to take care of the shipment ourselves and do let me know the approximate date at which you would like it to reach you in Detroit.

As regards the insurance, my firm will be happy to take care of this matter without any charge to your Museum. The other packing and shipping expenses will be debited to you.

I fully understand your point of view as regards the clock; it is indeed a very lovely one - particularly striking by its quality of workmanship/- but it is not effectively unusual a model to warrant the expenses and responsibilities such a shipment would involve.

With all good wishes,
Sincerely yours,
Germain Seligman
