You are perfectly right -- the pistol is indeed very beautiful. What a pity that it is not French! I am returning the photograph to you. So far as the snuff box is concerned, it is a wonderful example and I will be delighted to have it. Would you care to tell me what you want me to do about the insurance? So far as the large clock is concerned, I do not think that it will help us very much. It is a wonderful object, of course, but we already have two clocks of the Louis XVI period, somewhat similar in shape to yours, and I do not think that it will help us to display a third one. Thanks for suggesting it all the same. With cordial regards, I am Sincerely yours, [[signature]] Paul L. Grigaut Chief Curator PLG:gg Encl.
