Dear Mrs. Parker:

When I told Dr. Bob, Jr., about your letter when he called long distance yesterday, he asked me to tell you that he will write you when he gets back to the campus next week. At this time, Dr. Bob is in Fort Worth, Texas--and is keeping mighty busy as you can imagine.

Dr. Bob was happy that you liked the painting-- he said that sending you a picture like this was like sending "coal to Newcastle," but since they were a little different, he thought you might enjoy having one of them. Dr. Bob sends along his greetings, and you may be sure that your letter will be brought to his further attention next week.
