Dear Dr. Bob:
It is perfectly delightful-light as air, witty, fresh in design, colors and subject- in other words I find it altogether charming and am happy beyond the telling to own it. Nor have I overlooked your thoughtfulness in having that label[[insert]] affixed [[/insert]] giving its "provenance" and bearing your signature. Indeed I am most appreciative.

I would also like to give some thought to your idea of getting a group for the contemporary department's stock. Could you tell me whom I should contact?

As you will understand, yesterday was one of great excitement because of the fire at the Museum of Modern Art. Many of the Seurats on loan there had once-upon-a-time been our's and still seem like personal friends, Mr. and Mrs. Seligman own the little Eiffel Tower in the show, and our contemporary department has several paintings in the Lending Service there. But they have been so considerate as to send everyone telegrams as to the safety of loans.

Again so many thanks for my Bokoko Beni which I know will continue to give me pleasure both by itself and its association.

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. Theresa D. Parker.
