Dear Dr. Jones:

I'm sure you know the London publication BURLINGTON MAGAZINE, which enjoys such importance abroad that many of the New York dealers use it for international advertising.

But you may not recall that once a year they invite certain reputable dealers to buy a given number of pages of text to call attention to outstanding works on the market...in fact if I am not mistaken that section of the December issue is titled "On the Market" or something similar.

We are about to take one of those pages...and are wondering whether it would please you to have us use the Vennuccio with mention that it has just been acquired by your University gallery? Beyond that we would furnish them with the full pedigree-data, for the text.

But, as usual, we are late in getting around to this and the Burlington's deadline is approaching, so we would be delighted to have an immediate reply.

I will be writing you again next week anyway.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Theresa D. Parker
