Mrs. Theresa D. Parker

January 3rd, 1957

I have noted that through the years he has occasionally referred in a complimentary fashion to some work of art which you folks have placed in a museum. If you do have any influence with him, would you, without letting him know I suggested it, send him a black and white photograph of the crucifix with pertinent information and a note that it has been sold to us. This particular piece is just esoteric enough to appeal to his snobbery, and both of us ought to get some publicity out of it.

You will note I am writing you quite frankly, but I feel that you are a real friend and will understand.

Thank you for your cooperation in making it possible for us to have the crucifix, and thank you also for the above favor, which I am sure you will perform if it is in your power.

Cordially,
Bob Jones Jr.
President
