Since this crucifix will be the first thing we will have acquired from you, I hope Mr. Seligmann will be kind hearted and let us have it on these terms, which are the best I have been able to secure. I know I can count on you to do your best to help put this over.

I was afraid the gallery would be closed today, but I tried to call you just the same, because I wanted to make this offer before my father's conscience began to prick him so much he would change his mind, and so I am getting a letter off with a firm offer. My dad never reneges when he has committed himself, and so I wanted to commit him quick!

Kind regards and best wishes, I hope you have a happy Christmas.

Sincerely yours,

Bob Jones Jr.

President

P.S. I will be glad to have you call me collect on Wednesday after you have had a chance to talk to Mr. Seligmann.
