Dear Mr. Jones:
My visit to the Bob Jones University is one I shall never, never forget, and I shall always be grateful for your warm invitation which Brough it about.
As soon as you greeted me outside your marvelous new museum, I felt welcome. Your accomplishments still find me amased, so much so that if my enthusiasm doesn't subside before long I shall be regarded as an unofficial publicity agent, as up to now no one, whether on the train back or up in the country (where I spent the weekend) is unaware of the impact I experienced.
The attitude which prevailed everywhere, was not the least of the astonishments. I am still asking myself how you created it, communicated it to others and maintain it. You probably have no idea how different your campus-world seems to an outsider, as you are so much a part of it.
Please do say a special word of thanks for me to Mr. Havens, who would not even allow me to re-fill his gas tank. It was a great pleasure to encounter someone so devoted to his interests - which only are your's and who has the many abilities necessary to see them through.
With my deepest thanks for your great hospitality, and my best wishes to your family,
Most sincerely,
Mrs. Theresa D. Parker
