Dear Mr. Jones:

We were glad indeed to hear from you by your telegram of the 29th., though unfortunately we have to tell you that the VANNUCCIO is under consideration by a museum at present, and therefore we are not in a position to entertain other inquiries about it. However, should it not be acquired we will immediately let you know.

We are sorry you could not get here during our exhibition of Seventeenth Century Paintings and think you will be interested to hear that the very large Philippe de Champaigne and "Vision of Saint Joseph" and the Claude VIGNON "Asa, Roi d'Israel" are no longer available. On the other hand the La Hyre "Faith" remains unsold, though in recent months works by him have been purchased by several of the largest Eastern museums. Would it interest you to have a photograph, the reproduction in our catalogue not being as good?

Thanking you for your inquiry about the Vannuccio, on which I shall keep you posted,

Yours very sincerely,
Mrs. T. D. Parker.
