Dear Mr. Jones:

It was a pleasure to read in your note of the 22nd that you may be in New York later in the year. We particularly hope, as a matter of fact, that your visit will be during our great exhibit of manuscripts, dating from the 11th century to the 16th. This will be held from November 17th through December 6th,and in the course of the next two weeks an invitation will be sent you.

As the illuminated manuscripts are, of course, chiefly religious books, it is possible that we may hang the Vannuccio cross in the gallery during the show. Thus you would have an excellent opportunity of studying it.

Looking forward to the pleasure of welcoming you here.

Mr. Bob Jones, Jr. Yours very sincerely,
Bob Jones University
Greenville, South Carolina
