Reference:

Dear Madam,

I beg to inform you that the photographs ordered in your letter of 13th November have been despatched under separate cover. Owing to the heavy Christmas traffic, however, it was found necessary to increase the amount of packing to ensure their safe delivery, and in consequence the cost of air-mail postage would have been 16/-instead of the 7/- quoted.

The prints have accordingly been sent by ordinary mail, and 6/6d will shortly be refunded to you by the Accountant General's Department of the Ministry of Education in accordance with the amended and receipted invoice enclosed.

Yours faithfully,
A.L.B Ashton
Director and Secretary
