However, the true question on my mind is whether among the voluminous archives you dispose of, you have a reference which would lead to the original source of this remarkable Boucher. Could it not have been part of the group of your superb large Boucher panels, some having gone directly to London and the one I am referring to remaining in Paris?

It seems ungrateful that your charming gesture is sending me the new guidebook should lend to my burdening you with such a matter. However, I know that nothing connected with your outstanding collection leaves you indifferent. Thus I am writing in this vein.
