L'amour qui aus Grotte l'aritie four Chateaude Betz-

Dear Mr. Seligman,

My colleague, Mr. Watson, has recently been in correspondence with Monsieur Louis Réau concerning the sculptural group by Pigalle entitled Education de l'Amour. I enclose a copy of a recent letter he has received from Monsieur Réau which makes the position fairly clear.

Both Mr. Watson and myself would be most grateful if you can throw any light on the present whereabouts and the early history of this piece of sculpture which according to the catalogue of the Orleans Sale in Paris in 1851 was definitely made of marble.

With kind regards.
Yours sincerely,
Robert A. Cecil
