I will write to your brother asking him if I may have some photographs of these two panels, assuming that they are still in his possession, and I will also send him the above entries which he may not know of. I would, however, be very glad to have your views on this putative identification.

Mr. Kimball of the Philadelphia Museum has very kindly let me have notes and photographs of the Boucher Psyche series from the Hamilton Rice Collection and now in his Museum.

The Le Prince panel also seems to have been exhibited by Lord Hertford at the Musée Retrospectif, as a catalogue entry reads:

5751. Russes assis autour d'une table, auprés d'une tente, et ecoutant une femme qui joue de la guitare. D'autres femmes, assises a terre, tressent des fleurs ou écoutent leur compagne. A droite une barque. Signé: d'une fleur de lis et des lettres A.C. Composition de Leprince. Epoque de Louis XV. Beauvais.
