MANCHESTER SQUARE
LONDON, W.1

8th May, 1950

My dear Monsieur Seligman,

I am very grateful indeed to you for sending me so quickly a photograph of the TocquƩ portrait of the Duc de Chartres. This arrived today, and I have passed it to The Burlington Magazine for reproduction in my article. It is exceedingly kind of you to take so much trouble, and I am very glad to have such a good photograph of the picture. You do not say in your letter whether I may keep the reproduction, but I hope possible that this may be all right. I will see also that that you receive a copy of my article when it is published.

With kind regards and again many thanks for your help,
I am,
Yours sincerely,
R. A. Cecil
