Dear Mr. Cecil:
May express the hope that you will not consider these lines as an imposition upon the courtesy which you showed me while I was in London and that you will be good enough to excuse the liberty I take.

You will perhaps recall how very much impressed I was with the quality and number of paintings by Philippe de Champaigne which the Wallace Collection contains and I am wondering whether I could ask you to be so good as to send me a photograph of each of them and, by the same token, a catalogue of the collection containing descriptions and data. Realizing what expenses this may ential please do ask your secretary to post me without delay upon such outlays in order to enable me to send you a check.

Thanking you in advance for your kindness and with personaly regards,
Believe me to be
Yours very sincerely,
Germain Seligman
