Robert A. Cecil, Esq.
Wallace Collection
Manchester Square
London

Dear Mr. Cecil:

Do excuse this belated note to thank you for your most charming welcome when I called on you in London. I do appreciate indeed the time you were good enough to spend with me, and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed going through those beautiful roads of the Wallace collection, and you should be indeed congratulated on the impressive work of renovation or rejuvenation you have undertaken. As I promised you, I will keep you in mind should I off and on discover anew some of the works of Art of the Paris Wallace Collection, and will supply you then with every available data.

Your example has truly spurred me into undertaking this catalaguing, and I hope I shall be able to accomplish it, even though it may or certainly will be limited in many ways.

Hoping that ere long I shall have again the pleasure of seeing you, and with renewed thanks, believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

Germain Seligman.
