MINNEAPOLIS 4, MINNESOTA

Russell A. Plimpton, Director

December 22, 1949

Dear Germain:
Our exhibition, MASTERPIECES OF SCULPTURE, has closed, and the loans have all been returned.
We shipped your Renoir, which we were so sorry we could not keep in Minneapolis, to you on December 16, via Allied Van Lines. As you have agreed, I am taking the Bourdelle home on approval. It is such a good private collector's piece.
This letter is to thank you for your generosity in lending two works of such outstanding quality to our exhibition. As you can imagine, they created a great deal of interest.

Many thanks again and Merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Dick
