April 11, 1952

Dear Dick:

Ever so many thanks for your letter of April 7.

The large Maillol drawings will be reserved until Phyllis and your next visit to New York around April 20.

I am happy to hear we shall have the pleasure of seeing you both here shortly and also that you understood my reluctance to ship this large and truly exceptional drawing at present.

I have no print of the Tiepolo at this moment but it is a matter of but a few days until you will receive it.

In this connection I thought you might be interested to know that having had an opportunity of showing it a few days ago to Carl Schniewind he expressed the belief it should be part of the same series of which he purchased one for the Institute "The Story of St. Peter", and if I recall correctly his statment [[statement]] was that this series came from the Duc de Trevise collection.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
