My attention has been called by prominent citizens to an article published in the Macon Telegraph, which I inclose, and which I beg to call your attention to. I conceive it to be useless for good, patient, Christian men to labor for the welfare of the country when such vipers as the Editors of certain papers are permitted to pollute the very air with their treason. Is there no power to reach them? I was an Editor here during a part of the war, and believe me, I was not allowed to intimate the shadow of what is now published boldly, only vice versa.
