Sir- Mr. J.M. McDonald
reports to me that he has upon his
hands a Freedwoman who is helpless
from rheumatism- that she belonged
to a refugee, who is not now to be found,
that she has two small children, and that she became afflicted after he employed her. He wishes to be relieved of the burthen- what can I do in such cases?

Very respectfully
