I have the honor to submit for your revision the following case.

Isaac Goldman was arrested yesterday morning on the charge of having struck a colored man.  It appears that this Goldman keeps a stand of Yankee Nations on Broad Street near the lower market. The complainant whose villainous looks betray the professional thief in every delineament, came up to Goldman's stand and appropriated several articles_ a ring, pocketbook and looking glass.  The owner thereupon took hold of the thief and made him disgorge the stollen articles part of which were already stored away in the thief's pockets.  Upon the complaint of this thief, Goldman was arrested and fined $20.00 while the complainant was
