Genl Lilson,
Dear Sir

There are two negro men, near this place in the woods-with small pox-They are exposed to the weather-without covering of any sort-common house- nits would induce any one to take care of them in ordinary sickness but as all fear the Small Pox-no one can be made need to take and shelter them-Seactor Bestly lives within 4 or 5 miles of this place-Who I have no doubt would [?]take charge of them-If you would authorize him so to do-If you will send an order to Bestly and direct it to me at this place-I will carry it to him-

Respectfully Yours
