Inclosed you will find answers to your inquiries concerning the freed people in my county. I am satisfied that the freed people under our laws mostly men stand can get justice. I am the prosecuting attrny in this Conty and I will answer you that will give them all the rights under the law that they are entitled to. There has not since my appointment been the first case of mistreatment to the freed people. All seem to get along well so far - as I am informed.  I have offered no contracts unless the imployers are able to pay what they have promised. I have forward a number of them to you for your approval and have as yet heard from you
