[[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] As regards the arrest of myself & others here at my place that the Loyal Georgian speaks of I will say that the agent here did not arrest me nor any of the parties, at the time of the election of candidates for the Convention soon to be held in Augusta

I was elected to represent my county  there were several speeches made and it was reported to the Bureau that myself and others made Disrespectful remarks in regard to the bureau  the agent sent the parties notice to appear at the office  the next morning myself with the rest we went but it was proven that we had said Nothing against the Bureau as reported and we were Dismissed
