LA: intro's 3 participants. Three are revitalizing their crafts

VA: Father was in museums. Taken at age 12 to state
museum of woodcarving

VHZ: favorite book was Robinson Crusoe.

BH: Also a singer; sings "We are not running away from difficulties. We will overcome." & FATHER was stone cutter, FATHER WAS A MASON. Continuing a tradition. SINGS AGAİN.

LA: woodcarving faded, then a burst of activity WHY?

VA: In villages, tools & utensils need, in wood. Replaced by metal. Masters lost the tradition. In Stalin era, there values came back; many woodcarver were trained in state museum.

VHZ: Similar story w/ pottery. Intellectuals brough back trad. values.
