Her grandmother used to use spindle and spinning wheel. Now also use modern spinning wheels, but not as effective. There's an old national song "spin, spin my spinning wheel... so that I can overcome my points"
The first bill go Armenian Republic (1880?) feature spinning wheel. Only circulated 2 years (Republic only lasted 2 years?). There are 1 natural colors of sheep; combine for 14 natural colors.

Vahagn
Thinks tradition is valuable - 80% of ^his creations are traditional or dose. 20% are others. He also tries to bring those to level of traditional craft. Also using traditional technologies. Brings day from his region. There are 7 steps to craft his work.

Ruzanna 
She is fond of traditional but also important to have a market, and keep the buying clients in mind.
When students of Tumo (sp?) center were invited, the group collaborated and made new designs that could be sold. Important to combine new traditions.

Vahagn
As a young child he also enjoyed nature and going far into the outer areas from his village. Also very fond of reading these were his 2 inspirations.
He still fits to see old monuments in his town + imagines himself as having been the one to build/create them. This gives his inspiration identity.

Ruzanna 
When 60 women are weaving carpets; the design is the same but each one is making some kind of change according to her personality/personal life. Levom
