Ritual of the Teething Party - happens after baby gets first tooth.

Using 2 ingredients
Chickpeas - health
Wheat - fertility, abundance

- Usually happens before child's first birthday; everyone comes to family's house for it.
- A little of this mix is put on child's head. Rest is saved for a platter, to be decorated with, cinnamon, nuts, etc.

Another kind of combo - 7 ingredients:
- 3 kinds of beans - red, white, pink
- barley - lentils
- hemp seed - wheat

- Boil all, but not too much. chick peas cook for about 5 hours. mix all ingredients
- Coconut powder, sugar, and/or walnuts can be added.

Another part of ceremony: put a tray in front of baby and have them choose an item, supposedly predictive of child's life/career.
