(1) Armenians always liked art. Stone carving Father-> son. Male profession traditionally. She like it so much she started carving stone. Early female stone carver. Attempting to add female aspect to the male profession. 

(2) Presenting wool -> carpets. Feels confident as a woman in profession

(3) Needlework everyday. Married @ 16. In Syria, Armenians generally made good money. She never had to think how to make money. Armenia not too rich. Had to earn $. Had embroidery skills. Lacked business knowledge. NGOs helped her with gaining knowledge.
Now teaching embroidery in Armenia.

(2) Also teaches weaving to others. Confidence increased as able to earn money.

(1) War w/ Azerbizan (sp?). Needs to earn if men are away. 
In past looked bad for man if wife had to work. No longer seen that way.

(3) sons helped her build confidence. brought her her to fest.
