KUKAMA myth tells of destruction of earth by flood. ONE MAN SURVIVED. God told MAN to make circle on land + dig with hands. Man found yucca. Kukama use tools to protect & preserve yucca from floods by putting the on canoes. Yucca is then put in hole in ground. Yucca can be stored this way up to 3 yrs. Yucca in holes feed people when all else is flooded. Special tool used to dry out yucca. 
- "Kumata" baskets used to strain yucca juice.
