Origin of the moon- one of the most famous Kukama stories River Marinon= a [[strikethrough]] woman [[/strikethrough]] girl lived there and went to work and was always helpful w/ her mother. One night, she suddenly awoke 'cause a moth was there, caressing her faces softly & gently then disappeared- she didn't know what to do this happened several nights in a row. She tried to figure out who was this doing it? She made a fruit [[strikethrough]] pulp [[/strikethrough]] mixture from her garden, & (called a hecito(sp) placed it next to her bed. She faked sleep, then the moth came in. She acted as if she was stretching and in doing so [[teaned?]] his face w/ the mixture and caressed his face. This made him leave.
