[[strikethrough]]After[[/strikethrough]] Oct 5, 2005 My Dad called the Profesra had come back, He collected songs from us. On March 11 Prof. took us the chenddu(Chianxiu) We had a nice time, "eating out Peoples Park" Prof told us to compete in the National Youth Singing Competition in a new section called original singing. We decided to give it a try.
There were more than 6000 competitors. Only 500 could stay. We were 2 kids from a mt village. There were professionals, we were nervous. We bought wine & drank. My brother said your face is red lets go on, We sang our song & could see "Chinese" were moved by our song. I think our music has significance in itself, I was relaxed & finished the song.
I was #2222 - The judges all stood up. I thought I did something wrong. A famous cultural commentator said you are so good. you sing all Asians & brought my ancestors back. We were chosen to move on & were the final 10 to end up on national TV in the youth singing competition. Because we were singing our ancestors songs but we needed to learn how to present ourselves. I was distracted by an airplane and wondered when I could be on one. 3 days late I took a plane to Beijing.
Folks in hometown learned we would be on TV. The whole village went in a bus to the country seat to see TV. Our county man was so angry he called the called the electricity to tell them 2 of their people were on national TV.
I won the silver medal. We let many people know about our "polyphonic" style. The govt helped improve the electricity to broaded Polyphonic singing had been named as a:
[[star]] National Intangible Cultural Heritage - My father is the National Cultural Heritage translator.
Because a national TV we have brought the singing to Hong Kong & other places.
[[star]] Song - The Moon is Rising - from the national competition.
